Wiesentanz

Wiesentanz (aka Dancer) is a 1998 16.2 liver chestnut Hanoverian mare who was imported from Germany as a young horse. Her name means “Meadow Dance”, and she does literally dance across the meadows! When we saw her move the first time, Sarah and I knew that I had to have her! Her trot takes your breath away; it is incredibly ground-covering with spectacular suspension. Dancer has been busy having babies and has never been under saddle and therefore has not been performance tested. Her quality is evident in her movement, her pedigree, and in her progeny. Her filly, Rosentanz, is a nationally ranked two year old and the highest scoring German Oldenburg for 2006 in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding.

Her four generation pedigree is notable in that eleven of the fifteen mares achieved States Premium Status! Her sire Wolkentanz I, by the legendary Weltmeyer, ranks highly on the Hanoverian FN index for dressage. Bolero on her dam’s side gives an infusion of Thoroughbred blood for added refinement. Her offspring inherit her lofty gaits, her beautiful neck, and have good temperaments. Her 2007 colt by Rubino Bellisimo was named top foal of the Hanoverian Inspection.

Wiesentanz went to her first Breed show at Proud Meadows this fall and was first in the Mature Mare class both days and was Reserve Grand Champion Mare for the Southern Region USDFBC.

ROSENTANZ: 2004 premium Oldenburg black filly by Rosenthal: USDF DSHB HOY third in the nation for 2 year old fillies, USDF All Breeds German Oldenburg top two year old filly and highest scoring Oldenburg of all ages with a median score of 80.85%.
DIMAGGIO: 2006 black Hanoverian colt by Donatelli.
ROOSEVELT: 2007 foal by Rubino Bellisimo. Hanoverian inspection site winner.
RUBINTANZ: 2008 Premium Oldenburg filly by Rosenthal. Due in 2009 with foal by the successful Dutch Stallion, Rousseau.
