SEPTEMBER 2008

ROSENTANZ CONTINUES HER WINNING WAYS IN 2008!

In her very first dressage show under saddle, Rosentanz  with  rider, Emilee Reed, received a 74% at Training Level test 4 from Judge Bill Solyntjes.  Not only did she win her class, but  was the high score of the day!

In Dressage Sport Horse Breeding, Rose has won every class she has entered!  At the Texas Dressage Classic I in the 4 y/o & older maiden & yeld mares class she received a 79.3% winning her class; she was also Champion Mare, and was a USDFBC Qualifier.

At Proud Meadows Breed Show I & II, she received a 76.75% and an 81.5%, respectively, for the 4 y/o & older maiden & yeld mares winning her classes.  She was also Champion Mare both days, Oldenburg Champion, and High Scoring horse of both shows.

ROSENTANZ  NOW IN TRAINING WITH JESSICA JO TATE!

I made the difficult decision to move Rose to Maryland and put her in training with the very accomplished Jessica Jo Tate.  “JJ” is a talented Grand Prix and FEI Young Horse competitor. She is a USDF Bronze, Silver, & Gold Medalist and is currently competing at Grand Prix with scores at CDIs in the 70% range.  JJ has had top placings at Dressage at Devon at Grand Prix and in the FEI Young Horse classes. She has been Champion or Reserve Champion multiple times at the Regional Finals at the national and FEI levels on numerous horses and has been named to the United States Equestrian Team Developing Riders List.  In August 2007, JJ was selected to represent the United States in the World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, Germany.  JJ and Donnermuth were the highest placing/scoring U.S. rider and horse and ended up with an impressive 7th place finish in the Small Finals.  In 2006, JJ was a World Cup Finalist and at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, she placed first in the Grand Prix Special and was FEI High Point Champion.  Also in 2006, JJ was one of six chosen out of hundreds of applicants to compete in the "Dressage Idol" contest organized by Robert Dover.

JJ currently trains with and/or has trained with a number of top riders and clinicians, including Scott Hassler, Michael Klimke, Conrad Schumacher, Oded Schimoni, Walter Zettl, Gerhard Politz, Gyula Dallos in Budapest, Hungary, Charles de Kunffy, and Colonel Von Zeigner.

In addition to her accomplishements as a rider and trainer, JJ is an excellent instructor, and a truly wonderful person with an incredible work ethic.

We will be bringing JJ in for clinics.

The first clinic with JJ was a big success. Everone was very pleased with their rides and have already scheduled for the next one. She will be here for a two day clinic on Monday & Tues, Nov 17th & 18th.  If interested, contact us at jackie@wild-oaks-ranch.com.  You can find out more about JJ at her website, www.jessicajotate.com or at www.goodnessridge.com.

Wiesentanz wins Reserve Champion Mare

of the Southern Region USDF Breeders Championship Final.   This was her first show ever and she remembered everything that Klaus Schengbar taught her.  Thanks to Bobby Murray for an outstanding job handling her.

JUST STUNNING! THAT DESCRIBES OUR TWO NEW BLACK BEAUTIES THAT ARRIVED THIS SPRING.

On March 17th, Wiesentanz delivered a full sister to Rosentanz.  Rubintanz (sired by Rosenthal) is just as striking as her big sister, if not more so.   She has some big shoes to fill, but is off to a good start…she received a  Premium Award from the German Oldenburg Verband at their recent inspection.  She went to her first horse show at the Proud Meadows Fall Sporthorse Breed Show II and won her weanling class, and was Reserve Champion filly for the show, thus qualifying her for the USDFBC finals where she was fourth.  Sergio Licea did a terrific job showing Rubi.

Rosentanz has sold to Angela Barilar the owner of Rosenthal, the sire of Rubintanz.

On April 20th our Rosentanz x Sinatra Song embryo transfer foal was born.  Song ‘n’ Dance (aka Samba) is totally black like her sire,  Sinatra Song stamps his offspring with refinement, elegance, and terrific uphill movement.  Several of his offspring have been Grand Champions at horse shows this past summer and at the Inspections the judges have been very impressed with the conformation and quality of gaits of the Sinatra Song babies.  Samba is no exception and will make a terrific ladies horse.  She is also offered for sale to a show home.
